JULY Already!

Well a few days early.  I can't believe it.  Summer vacation just started for me on Thursday morning.  I love 11 am summer wake ups!  My newest dog has never been around for summer.  So me being home all day is really tiring him out!  He doesn't know if he should follow me or stay put!
The other dog already knows the routine, and stays put! :)  ahh, dogs they have a great life.

I am linking up with Farley for the newest JULY currently.

LISTENING  to my hubby cut the hedges along side our bedroom window.  Apparently he didn't get the SCHOOL'S OUT memo.... WIFE Sleeps late :(

LOVING that it is the first weekend of summer and that every night is Saturday night! :)  (The hubby doesn't feel the same way!)

THINKING that this summer, I will be making those Pilates and yoga classes that always seem to get put on the back burner during the school year.  Also, enjoy me time, reading, blogging and relaxing.

WANTING an ice coffee!  After this post, I am head to Starbucks to enjoy a cold one.

NEEDING few glasses of wine and a good Lobster and seafood dinner.  Living on the coast these things are easy to have.  I am headed to the marina tonight to enjoy some live music and good food.  (After NY's hurricane Sandy the coastal restaurants and businesses need help and support for the first summer after the storm)

TIPS, TRICKS or HINTS I say to stay organized, (cute little notebooks, bins, lists, post its!) and also make it fun.  Who wants boring?  Fun is in this season!

Thank you for stopping by and enjoying this month's currently.

Oh BTW, if you haven't heard about Google Reader vanishing and leaving all of us.  Follow me on Bloglovin'.  It's super easy and FUN!

Keep Calm.....

It is really happening, Google Reader is leaving.  Make sure you stay and keep up with all the new things happening.  Now you will have to follow with bloglovin!  So fun and easy to use.  Don't have time to log in and read every blog you follow.  NO PROBLEM..... they send you an email once daily with all the updated blog posts for that day!  How awesome is that!!

Follow on the right hand side of this post.  Super easy and I will have a giveaway (after July 1) as a thanks for you joining me there.

This is a set of word walls that I made for the teacher I worked with this year.  She wanted some old school blackboard letters and words.   I made them for her as a thanks for letting me share space in her room this year.  I wasn't sure what kind of headers she wanted so I made both.
Being a traveling special education teacher, I need to make lots of friends!

Any one still have a blackboard in their classroom??

Ruff Life....

Apparently size doesn't matter.  The little guy decides that HE will lay in on the big bed.   All this commotion all while my husband is trying to repaint the wall.   Ahh what a way to spend Monday night!  Just look at those faces.... Two dogs grateful to be rescued and living the good life!  They are spoiled, spoiled dogs.

This is how I spent Monday Morning!  I have to park my car four city blocks from my school (that's where I rent a parking spot.  Ahh, life in the big city!)  I just happen to have flip flops in the trunk. (You never know when you might be in mood for a fresh pedicure!)  So I rolled up my pants and walked. The crossing guard looked at me, like I was crazy!  I just nodded and waved good morning.   I got to school, dried my feet and was ready for whatever Monday had for me!

How was YOUR Monday?

Take a look at these two AWESOME giveaways!  The prizes are unreal!  Head over and enter for your chance to win the loot!

My student teacher has graduated and left our class last week.  As a parting gift, my class and I created some personal items for her future classroom. After she left our class, it looks like she just left the teacher supply store!  I made her a custom word wall with her favorite primary colors and polka dots!  She also got my rainbow chevron word wall too. I laminated the words for her and my students cut out everything for her.   I am going to create some additional piece for her.

The teacher I share a room wants to go back old school.  So I created these for her classroom and my teaching corner   Who would have thought that with SMART boards and IPads we would want old school chalkboard themes!

The calendar kit will have some added pieces to the set.

If you made it all the way done here, do tell, What's your theme for next year?

Currently....

Wow, how exciting, I made it to June!  Now I am linking up with Farley and a lot of her closest friends with this months Currently.

Listening: To the ceiling fan, because my husband decided to clean out the A/C vents today and something ended up broken!

Loving: JUNE!!!  and the end is near.
Thinking: That I had a lot of time to get my end of year gifts.... but I don't!  So I need to get them done and wrapped!

Wanting: An entire crew of fairies to clean, box-up and store all my classroom supplies.  Any ideas where I can find such fairies?

Needing:  Yep, so my brother-in-law graduated from dental school and I need to get him a gift.  No idea what to buy.  Maybe I can whip him up some chevron or polka dot curtains for his office,  or maybe a cute chevron binder cover!!

3 Vacay Essentials: IPad for movies, books and internet, flip flops... just because and chap stick! Nothing worse than chapped lips.  Happy Summer

Just a reminder that Monday June 3 is the Last day to purchase your Teachers Care for Oklahoma bundles.   This fundraiser has raised a total of 5 figures so far.  Thank you to all that have purchased their bundle already.
